Max Mausen - Clarinet
Acclaimed as a 'sensitive' and 'imaginative' performer, clarinettist Max Mausen excels as both a soloist and an orchestral player. He makes appearances in a multitude of genres including chamber music, contemporary music and jazz. Max regularly collaborates with composers and has given premieres in concert halls including the Wigmore Hall, LSO St Lukes, Konzerthaus Wien, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam and the Philharmonie Luxembourg.
Born in Luxembourg, he started his musical training at the city's Conservatoire and later went on to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. Max was awarded the second prize – the Glass Seller's Trophy – at the 2014 Guildhall Gold Medal competition, for his performance of the Copland clarinet concerto. He has performed with orchestras and ensembles including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg, Philharmonia Orchestra, United Instruments of Lucilin, Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestre de Chambre de Luxembourg.
