This three-movement piece for large ensemble and two actors tells the story of the Battle of Cable Street in music and narration. It depicts the build up to the events of Sunday 4th October, the drama of the Battle itself, and the aftermath in Parliament and the press.

Described by M Magazine as "One of the strongest new composing voices working in Britain right now", Robin Haigh became one of the youngest ever recipients of a British Composer Award in 2017 for his recorder quintet In Feyre Foreste. He studied at Goldsmiths College and the Royal Academy of Music, and is the Young Composer in Residence for The Sage Gateshead Young Sinfonia. More information about Robin is available on his website: http://robinhaigh.com/
